Slaughter at the Intellectual Abattoir

One need never look far for an example of heinous activities at a public school. Whether it is 'suspending' children for wearing American themed clothing during Cinco de Mayo, a black student only field trip followed by an emotional tirade by the school principal, teachers protesting for more pay and/or attempting to convert their students to the cause, bringing in convicted criminals to speak without parental notification, arranging for abortions without parental notification or consent, or snapping thousands of spy shots of students; the public school system provides ample demonstrations of its true nature.

What one does need to look far and wide to find is a sensible response from the parents of these children and the culture at large. Simply put, in spite of all the bellyaching on the comment boards and the silly protests outside the schools, you never hear of large groups of parents withdrawing their children from the system. Everyone keeps their children in the system. They do not kill the beat by withdrawing in mass... they do not even save their child by withdrawing just them. Complaint after complaint... year after year... and yet every term back these children go on the big yellow buses to the intellectual abattoir.

The argument always seems to be 'my child's school is different'. No, it is not. You simply have not had proof of its wretchedness thrown into your face in such an obvious manner. And frankly, even if it was, you would be no more likely to act than the parents in the examples above. You have forfeited your control over the molding of your child's values and mind. You have willingly turned over your child to what is readily documented to be a world trailing education system.

You are getting what you deserve... the theft of your child's soul.
